On Tuesday, 27th May 2025, the Ven. Fr. Joseph Vithayathl Multi-Purpose Hall for St. Mariam Thresia School, Kunsu, was officially blessed and inaugurated in a solemn and joyful ceremony. The event brought together clergyincluding several priests, religious, traditional authorities, school staff, students, parents, and members of the wider community.
The blessing was led by the Bishop of Goaso Diocese, Most Rev. Peter K. Atuahene, with the Vicar General, Monsignor Matthew Addai, and the Kunsumanhene, Dr. Nana Badu Agyemang Duah II, in attendance. Also present were educational leaders and political stakeholders, underscoring the importance of the hall for local development.
Bishop Atuahene praised the collaborative efforts of the Church, school leadership, parents, and the community in making the project a reality.
The school, run by the Congregation of the Holy Family (CHF) Sisters, with Sr. Preeti Joseph CHF as headmistress, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who supported the project.
The hall, named in honour of the late Ven. Fr. Joseph Vithayathl, a devoted missionary, will serve the school and wider community as a centre for academic, spiritual, and social gatherings.
Dr. Nana Badu Agyemang Duah II commended the Church’s continued investment in education and pledged his ongoing support for development initiatives in Kunsu. The event concluded with cultural performances and expressions of gratitude from school and community leaders.
