The event began in a solemn atmosphere as participants gathered in unity and faith. The programme included liturgical celebrations, devotional practices, spiritual conferences, and opportunities for reconciliation, all aimed at deepening the spiritual life of members and strengthening their devotion to the Sacred Heart.
Two spiritual conferences were delivered during the Congress. Rev. Fr. Daniel Afum, the Diocesan Spiritual Director, gave a presentation on Christian hope as a virtue rooted in the love and faithfulness of God, based on Romans 5:5. He encouraged participants to remain hopeful in all circumstances, trusting in the promises of God.
Rev. Fr. Gregory Asomaning-Agyemang delivered the second talk, focusing on the love and mercy of Christ as expressed through the Sacred Heart, and urged members to grow in personal devotion and prayer.
A penitential service was led by Rev. Fr. Francis Kusi Ababio and priests present offered individual confessions, giving participants the opportunity to receive the sacrament of reconciliation and experience spiritual healing.
As part of the Congress, the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary were enthroned at St. John of God Parish. The rite of enthronement was a communal act of dedication, inviting the parish and its faithful to live under the guidance and love of Jesus and Mary.
Children and youth present at the Congress also took part in a Tarcisian session, which helped to nurture their understanding and practice of the faith through age-appropriate formation and engagement.
The Congress concluded with a closing Mass celebrated in thanksgiving for the spiritual nourishment received. Participants returned to their parishes renewed in faith and strengthened in their commitment to the life and mission of the Confraternity.
The 2025 Congress offered a moment of grace and unity, reinforcing the importance of trust in God and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the life of every believer.
