St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish, Bechem, on Sunday, 7th September 2025, officially launched its Centenary Anniversary Celebration, marking 100 years of faith, service, and growth in the life of the Church.
The Holy Mass to open the celebration was presided over by the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Goaso, Most Rev. Peter K. Atuahene, and concelebrated by the Parish Priest, Very Rev. Fr. Elisha Manu, his Assistant, Rev. Fr. Bernard Sarpong, and the Resident Priest, Rev. Fr. Stephen Danso. In his homily, Bishop Atuahene encouraged the faithful to remain steadfast in their commitment to Christ and to build upon the legacy of the pioneers who laid the foundation of the parish.
The colorful event brought together parishioners, clergy, religious, traditional leaders, invited guests, and friends of the parish to give thanks to God for the blessings of the past century and to look forward with renewed hope.
The centenary celebrations, which will feature a series of spiritual and social activities throughout the year, shall be climaxed with a Grand Celebration on Saturday, 2nd May 2026, followed by a Parish Thanksgiving on Sunday, 3rd May 2026.
The launch served as a call on all parishioners, past and present, as well as benefactors and friends, to support the preparations towards a befitting celebration of God’s goodness over the past 100 years.
