On Thursday, 2nd October 2025, the community of Our Lady of Apostles (OLA) Girls’ Senior High School, Kenyasi, gathered in joy and prayer to witness the induction of Madam Beatrice Adongo as the new Headmistress. The solemn yet colorful ceremony was presided over by the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Goaso, Most Rev. Peter K. Atuahene, who officially inducted her into office during Holy Mass.
Madam Beatrice Adongo takes over from Sr. Antoinette Fatia Abiwu, the immediate past Headmistress, whose dedicated service was acknowledged with deep appreciation. Prior to her appointment, Madam Adongo served as Assistant Headmistress (Domestic), a role in which she demonstrated strong leadership and commitment to the welfare and holistic formation of students. Her experience and dedication have prepared her to take up this new mantle of leadership.
In his address, the Bishop urged Madam Adongo to lead with humility, faith, and commitment, reminding her that leadership in a Catholic institution is not only about academic excellence but also about nurturing values, discipline, and holistic growth among the students.
In her maiden speech, Madam Beatrice Adongo expressed gratitude to God, the Bishop, the Ghana Education Service, and the entire school community for the trust placed in her. She pledged to uphold discipline, promote quality education, and ensure the holistic development of every girl under her care.
The occasion brought together clergy, traditional leaders, officials from the Ghana Education Service, the OLA Old Girls Association, parents, and well-wishers. It was climaxed with thanksgiving, marking the beginning of a new era of leadership for OLA Girls’ Senior High School.
