On Friday, 21st November 2025, the St. John of God Catholic Church in Duayaw Nkwanta was blessed with the solemn and joyful celebration of the First Profession of Vows of Sr. Maria Dominica Silaa (RVM).
The ceremony brought together the Religious, clergy, family, friends, and parishioners, all gathered to witness and support Sr. Maria Dominica as she made her first commitment to the Religious Vows of Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience. The liturgy was marked by deep reverence, beautiful music, and a profound sense of gratitude to God for the gift of a new religious vocation.
The solemn ceremony took place in the presence of the Most Rev. Peter Kwaku Atuahene, Bishop of the Goaso Diocese, and the District Superior of the Religious of the Virgin Mary (RVM), Sr. Ma. Josefina Cabrera,RVM whose support and guidance added significance to this sacred moment.
This sacred moment stands as a testimony to God’s enduring call and the generous response of those who dedicate their lives to His service. We thank God for Sr. Maria Dominica Silaa and pray for her continued faithfulness, strength, and joy as she journeys in her mission.
