On Friday, 2nd January 2025, Most Rev. Peter Kwaku Atuahene, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Goaso, officially performed the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a Maternity Block at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Clinic, Mim–Ahafo. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the Clinic’s mission to expand maternal and child healthcare services for the people of Mim and its surrounding communities.
Present at the event were The Vicar General,Monsignor Matthew Addai,The Chancellor who is also the contact agent for this project, Very. Rev. Theophilus Akyeampong Pepra, Financial Administrator, Very. Rev. Fr. Stephen Gyau,Priests from the Mim parish, Nananom, representatives of Ayum Forest Management, parishioners and staff of OLPH Clinic, along with members of the local community. The maternity project is being funded by generous benefactors from the United States, whose support has made this important initiative possible. Special prayers were offered for the donors, asking God to bless and reward them abundantly for their kindness and commitment to quality healthcare delivery.
