The Burial Mass of Rev. Fr. Joseph Badu Ameyaw was solemnly celebrated at Yamfo Parish, with Most Rev. Peter Kwaku Atuahene, Bishop of the Goaso Diocese, presiding, as the faithful gathered in prayer to commend his soul to the mercy of God and to give thanks for his faithful priestly ministry.
The homily was delivered by Rev. Fr. Alexander Nkansah, who reflected on the Christian hope of the resurrection, urging the faithful to entrust the soul of the departed priest to God’s loving mercy and to remain steadfast in faith.
Following the Burial Mass, the mortal remains of Rev. Fr. Joseph Badu Ameyaw were laid to rest at the Diocesan Pastoral and Social Centre, in keeping with the rites and traditions of the Church.
The liturgical celebration brought together priests, religious, family members, parishioners, and sympathizers from across the Diocese to pray for the repose of his soul and to thank God for his life and ministry.
Rev. Fr. Joseph Badu Ameyaw passed away on Sunday, 22nd December, 2025, at the age of 63. He was ordained a priest on 6th December, 1997, and served the Church faithfully until his death.
Throughout his priestly ministry, he devoted himself to the proclamation of the Gospel, the celebration of the Sacraments, and the pastoral care of God’s people. He served with commitment, and deep pastoral zeal, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and selfless service.
Rev. Fr. Joseph Badu Ameyaw will be remembered for his jovial nature, fatherly care, and dedication to duty wherever he served. His contribution to the life and mission of the Church continued to inspire many.
As a Diocese, his soul was commended to the infinite mercy of God, with prayers that the Lord whom he served faithfully would grant him eternal rest.
