CHRISTIAN MOTHERS’ ASSOCIATION HOLDS ANNUAL DIOCESAN CONFERENCE AT GOASO

The Christian Mothers’ Association in the Diocese recently held its Annual Conference at St. Anthony of Padua Cathedral, bringing together mothers from various parishes and deaneries in a spirit of faith, fellowship, and renewal.

The conference, which ran from 16th to 19th April 2026, was a remarkable gathering aimed at strengthening unity among members and deepening their spiritual lives as women committed to the service of God, their families, and the Church.

Throughout the programme, participants engaged in a rich variety of activities designed to nurture both body and soul. These included insightful talks on Christian family life, motherhood, and the important role women play in the growth of the Church and society. The sessions offered encouragement and practical guidance, inspiring members to live out their vocation with renewed zeal.

A major highlight of the conference was the health walk, which brought together members in a joyful public expression of unity and wellness. It served not only as a means of promoting healthy living but also as a strong witness to the Association’s presence within the Diocese.

The spiritual life of the mothers remained at the center of the gathering. Through prayer sessions, spiritual exercises, and liturgical celebrations, participants experienced moments of deep reflection and renewal. Another significant moment was the initiation of new members, marking growth in the Association as more women embraced its mission and values.

The conference was graced by the presence of the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese, Most Rev. Peter Kwaku Atuahene, whose fatherly encouragement uplifted the participants. He commended the mothers for their dedication to their families and the Church and urged them to continue being strong pillars of faith, love, and moral guidance in society.

A climactic moment of the gathering was the Thanksgiving Mass held on 19th April, during which the mothers offered gratitude to God for the success of the conference. The celebration brought together all participants in a spirit of joy and appreciation, marking a fitting conclusion to the four-day event.

The conference also featured moments of recreation and interaction, fostering unity, friendship, and sisterhood among the members.

As the event came to a close, participants departed spiritually refreshed, strengthened in faith, and more united in their mission as Christian mothers—ready to continue contributing meaningfully to the life of the Church and society.
