Twelve members were recently initiated into the Sacred Heart of Jesus Confraternity at the St. Anthony of Padua Cathedral, Goaso in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Those initiated are: J. A. Addai, John Bosco Yamoah, Anthony Yaw Kobi, Dominic Osei Kofi, Osei Baafour Andrew, John Aniwo, Michael Oppong, Doris Obeng Boame, Elizabeth Bediako, Leticia Owusuaa, Mary Serwaa and Christiana Kande.

The initiation ceremony which was preceded by a two-day retreat, took place during a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Rev. Msgr. Anthony Boahen Kyereme, the Cathedral Administrator.

In a homily, Rev. Msgr. Kyereme, charged the new members to strive for purity of heart in all their endeavours. He urged them to make good use of the Sacraments especially the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist.

He appealed to them to be morally upright so as to attract new members to the Society.

Present were some Executives of the Goaso Confraternity including Mr. John Douglas Gyamfi, President, Mr. Anthony Obiri-Yeboah and Mr. Peter Boahene, Vice President and Secretary respectively.
